Day 3: Citygate Outlet Mall + The Peak

As usual, we always start our day with breakfast. This time, let me bring you to walk a bit further. About 20 minutes from our hotel and so there we reached 639 Nathan Road to have some Hong Kong dim sum. Introducing... 稻香集團 Tao Heung restaurant !!

稻香集團 Tao HeungCome... let's go in. There were a lot of customers inside but fortunately no queue was required. I think it's because it was Friday and you definitely need to queue on weekends judging from the number of chairs put at the entrance for those "waiting list" customers.

稻香集團 Tao HeungThe special thing is that they do not have any trolley carts being rolled around here showing the dim sum dishes. All the dishes are shown only in the menu instead... without any photo. However, the good thing is that all those dim sum were only steamed upon order so that you can have them fresh and hot ! But you have to compensate for the waiting time of course. So 20 minutes after we ordered our dishes...

Overall was good. All those dim sum were really stuffed with big prawns. And one tiny Abalone if you noticed. It's somewhere near Mongkok MTR station exit A2 if you are wondering how to go here.

After our dim sum breakfast, we went to Mongkok station and followed almost the same way to Disneyland. We didn't stop at Sunny Bay station but straight to the end of Tung Chung Line to Tung Chung station instead. So there we reached Citygate Outlets Mall... again. The reason why we went there again was because we were running out of cloths as the cloths we brought were only enough for 3 days. So let's do some shopping !

Citygate Outlets MallThere are over 70 brands from around the world with all stores offering discounts up to 70% everyday. Below is the list for some of the stores.

After all the shoppings, we went back to Tung Chung MTR station and took Tung Chung Line to Hong Kong station. This journey took around 30 minutes. Then it's time for us to take our late lunch. Let me show you around while we take you to the place we had our late lunch.

Pedder Street, Queen's Road Central & Wellington StreetAll these photos were taken along Pedder Street, Queen's Road Central and Wellington Street. Finally, we reached 32-40 Wellington Street. Introducing... 鏞記酒家 Yung Kee restaurant.

鏞記酒家 Yung KeeDo you see all the roasted goose right in front beside the entrance ? Yes, we came here to have their Roasted Goose ! Yung Kee has been in business for decades and has won numerous awards. It is most famous for its roasted goose !

After the first few bites, we had come to a conclusion. Sad to say... it's a disappointed one. Too dry and taste not much difference from duck. It's very expensive too for this kind of quality which costs HKD100 per person.

It's 4 minutes from the MTR Central station (Exit D2) on foot if you still want to have a try. Well, others may taste it differently.

Let's continue our journey to The Peak ! But before that, which is only a few minutes away from Yung Kee, it's Lan Kwai Fong.

Lan Kwai FongLan Kwai Fong is Hong Kong's premiere dining and entertainment destination. There are numerous bars, pubs, clubs and restaurants here. However, for us there is nothing much here as we are not that into a night out. So after looking around for awhile, we continued walking to Peak Tram station. At the moment, let me show you around while I'm taking you to the Peak Tram station.

The Peak TramThe Peak TramThe price for return Peak Tram ticket is HKD33 per adult and the admission fee for Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is HKD150 per adult. So, let's go in.

After that, the Peak Tram brought us back below and then we took bus no.15C to Central MTR station. We were still not going back to hotel yet but we dropped by at Mongkok station instead. So we went to Sai Yeung Choi Street, Mongkok and had our simple dinner there before going back to hotel. I'll tell you more about this Sai Yeung Choi Street in Day 4. I think it's time to say good night again... Good Nite everyone !

Day 2: Hong Kong Disneyland

We started our second day with a wonderful breakfast at Yee Shun Milk Company "義順牛奶公司" somewhere at Nathan Road. It's very famous with Steamed Milk desserts.

The Steamed Milk was the best ! However, their 猪扒包 BBQ Pork Bun was not very nice because it's a little bit too dry. And nothing special to talk about of their Macaroni in Soup.

Let's continue our journey to Hong Kong Disneyland !

The easiest way to Disneyland is by MTR. So we went to Yau Ma Tei station and took Tsuen Wan Line to Lai king station which needs around 15 minutes. Then from Lai king, we spent another 15 minutes taking Tung Chung Line to Sunny bay station. Lastly, 5 minutes with Disneyland Resort Line to Disneyland Resort station. So the total time from Yau Ma Tei to Disneyland Resort station was around 35 minutes.

Then it's time to leave. Before we went home, we went to Citygate Outlet Mall which is only two stations away from Disneyland. We will tell you more about it in Day 3 because we went there again in Day 3. So it's time to say good night again... Good Nite everyone !
